I was recently nominated for the Mystery Blogger Award by my fellow writer at Life By the Pages. It’s exciting and humbling to be unexpectedly nominated by a fellow blogger and I greatly appreciate it!
For those who aren’t familiar with the award:
The Mystery Blogger Award is an award for amazing bloggers, who have yet to be discovered. They are one of the best out there, they deserve every recognition they get. –Okoto Enigma(Mystery Blogger Award creator)
Essentially, within the blogging community (which I’ve come to find, is quite extensive) there are various forms of recognition and I was fortunate to receive one of them!
For those of you who don’t know me well enough yet, here are 3 things you should know about me:
1.) I love animals. I’ve owned cats, dogs, rats, rabbits, fish, tortoises and turtles, bearded dragons, snakes, geckos…the list really goes on…
2.) I’m a foodie. Living in Los Angeles, I’m fortunate enough to be exposed to variety of food that is almost always available. I enjoy a good Korean BBQ just as much as a traditional Indian Tikka Massala. My mom just to bribe us with $1 to get us to try new foods—effective.
3.) I love helping people. Perhaps one of my greatest strengths is my ability to connect with people. I can’t wait until I start connecting with people more through this platform. So comment away! *wink wink*
So, on to the rules:
- Put the logo on your blog

- Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice. One weird and one funny one.
- Share a link to your best post
The 5 questions that were asked of me are as follows:
- What is your favorite thing to do when you have some time to yourself?
I’ve recently re-discovered vinyl records. My husband bought me a record player for Christmas. I love to relax with a glass of good wine and listen to some Isley Brothers, perhaps.
- If there was any question you could have the answer to, what would it be?
I’d like to know what truly happens when we die. I’m not the most religious person, though I do consider myself to be spiritual. So, I’d like to know conclusively what happens.
- What is your favorite TV show?
TV shows come and go. But my favorite to this day is I Love Lucy. Her wit, her silliness, I just can’t get over how innovative her style was.
- What is your greatest strength?
My greatest strength is my compassion. I have the ability to place myself in other’s situations to better empathize with them. This has led me to make some amazing friends.
- What is your favorite quote and why?
“We accept the love we think we deserve” –The Perks of Being a Wallflower
It’s my favorite quote because of how simplistically true it is. You alone know your worth and what you put out is what you will receive.
Here are my questions for you!
1.) What one event in your childhood (17 or younger) impacted you the most and shaped you to be who you are today?
2.) If you were a typical character in a book/play/movie, who would you be? (e.g. the jock, the class clown, etc.)
3.) Which animal do you most identify with and why?
4.) What’s your favorite music genre? What do you like about it and what one song would you recommend as a representation of that genre?
5.) Do you see yourself still writing in some way in 5 years? Ten? In what capacity? And if not, why not?
